Weed Abatement - Goats Are BackWeed Abatement - Goats

(04/29/24)  The goats are back to assist the City with its weed abatement.  As you drive or walk around the city, you may notice them grazing along storm channels and retention basins.  Using goats reduces the use of chemicals in the environment that can leave the banks bare and lead to erosion.  Goats are also nimble on uneven terrains and hillsides, and like to eat a lot of vegetation.  Stop to enjoy and take a picture but please do not touch the fences or try to feed them.

Following are locations where the goats are scheduled to feed over the next few weeks.  The highlighted is where th goats are currently located:

Sand Creek - Shady Willow Ln/Sand Creek Trail Lone Oak Detention Basin
City's Corporation Yard Dry Creek Triangle
