The Records Division of the Police Department is part of the Support Services Staff. The front counter is open to the public Monday though Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. A variety of services are available such as picking up reports, having citations signed off, vehicle releases, scheduling fingerprint appointments, special event permits, bike licensing, record clearance letters, and providing general information and referral assistance.

The Division is responsible for maintaining the department records, processing and data entry, supporting patrol and investigations staff, handling warrants, subpoenas, restraining orders, preparation of statistics, preparation of complaints for the District Attorney's office and general liaison with the courts.
